Bogalusa’s Emmanuel M.B. Church Associate/Youth Pastor Everett Ledbetter deemed Saturday’s free car wash a huge success even though the church didn’t make a dime.

Money was not the object for getting out there in the 90-degree heat. Sharing the Lord’s message was.

“We’ve probably had 30 cars come through already,” Ledbetter said during a noon break. “We’re probably going to see 60 cars come through before it’s done.”

Ledbetter said the church recently went to North Carolina and did a free car wash to spread the message. But he said Saturday’s response was greater.

We probably saw 30 cars in 30 days in North Carolina,” Ledbetter said. “We decided to do this at home, and we’ve seen 30 cars in three hours.”

Emmanuel M.B. Church is located at 57500 Knapp Thomas Road on the corner of Spring Valley and Knapp Thomas roads.
