Ollie Mae Weary

On Monday, Sept. 8, in the stillness of her home, the Lord called Mrs. Ollie Mae Weary into eternal rest.
She was the second of three daughters born to Ollie Keys and Daisy Coney in Bogalusa.
Mrs. Ollie Mae was preceded in death by her parents and her older sister.
Mrs. Ollie Mae was educated in the Bogalusa City School System and graduated from Central Memorial High School. She loved cooking, helping others, shopping and having a good laugh, but most of all, she loved her family.
She was a faithful member of Harry’s Chapel United Methodist Church. She loved her church family and served as the church treasurer and on the Hospitality Committee, where her warm and gentle spirit touched all who walked through the church doors.
The love is felt even when she is gone. We will always miss you and love you. Our memories are a constant reminder of how much you loved us, for our hearts are eternally yours. A mother’s love is eternal and will always be present in the hearts of her children and loved ones.
Celebrating Mrs. Ollie’s homegoing are her children: Waynard, Stephanie and Taneka; grandchildren, Abria, Wayne Jr., Tiffany, Jevan and Irin; siblings, Able Jean, Ray, Celestine, Alvin, Linda and Paulette; and a host of nieces nephews and other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be Friday, Sept. 12, from 2 until 6 p.m. in the chapel.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Sept. 13, at 11 a.m. at Harry’s Chapel United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Louis Smith serving as eulogist. Interment will follow in Duffy Cemetery.
Cook-Richmond Funeral Home of Bogalusa is in charge of arrangements.
