Pearl Edna Barkman, age 74, passed away Sept. 6, 2014, at Our Lady Of The Angels Hospital in Bogalusa. She was a resident of Bogalusa and a retired production supervisor for American Fabric.

She is survived by three sons and daughter-in laws, Joseph Barkman Jr. (Susan) of Nashville, Ga., Gary Barkman (Kristieanna) of Dickson, Tenn., and George Barkman (Lisa) of Ramstein AFB, Germany; two daughters and sons-in-law, Terri Whitehead (Dillard) of Bogalusa and Sue Ann Garner (James) of Bush; two brothers, Charles Burkentine of Chamberburg, Pa., and Sonny Givens of North East, Md.; her mother, Sarah Burkentine of Bogalusa; 14 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Barkman Sr., and father, Harry Berkentine.

Visitation will be in the chapel of Brown McGehee Funeral Home on Thursday, Sept. 11, 2014, from 9 a.m. until time for services at 2 p.m. Cremation will follow. The Rev. Leo Burge will officiate.
