Albert Stewart Sr.

Albert Joseph Stewart Sr., born July 5, 1954, passed away Sept. 2, 2014, at his residence at the age of 60. He was a native and a resident of Bogalusa. He attended the Church of United Faith Pentecostal Church in Bogalusa.

He is survived by his mother, Melva Louise Stewart, and stepfather, Billy Ray Parker of Bogalusa; three sons, Albert J. (Deon) Stewart of Bogalusa, Rodney Ray-Leigh (Victoria Elizabeth) Stewart of Bush and John Charles Stewart, also of Bogalusa; one daughter, Rebetha (Nathaniel) Remington of Bogalusa; three sisters, Betty Jean Watson, Kathleen Wheat and Alice Degan, all of Bogalusa; five grandchildren, Alexis Stewart, Neveah Stewart, Deanna Stewart, Dominick Jones and Rodney Ray-Leigh Stewart II; and numerous nieces and nephews and other family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Perry Stewart, and a brother, Donald Stewart.

Visitation was held Sept. 5, 2014, at Brown-McGehee Funeral Home beginning at 5 p.m. and continuing until 9 p.m. and resumed Saturday, Sept. 6, 2014, after 8 a.m. until service time at 10 a.m. The Rev. Joe Kennedy and the Rev. Gussie Tynes officiated the services, and the interment followed in Ponemah Cemetery.
