Albert Joseph Stewart Sr., born July 5, 1954, passed away Sept. 2, 2014, at his residence at the age of 60. He was a native and a resident of Bogalusa. He attended the Church of United Faith Pentecostal Church here in Bogalusa.

He is survived by his mother, Melva Louise Stewart, and stepfather, Billy Ray Parker, of Bogalusa; three sons, Albert J. (Deon) Stewart of Bogalusa, Rodney Ray-Leigh (Victoria Elizabeth) Stewart of Bush and John Charles Stewart, also of Bogalusa; one daughter, Rebetha (Nathaniel) Remington of Bogalusa; three sisters, Betty Jean Watson, Kathleen Wheat and Alice Degan, all of Bogalusa; five grandchildren, Alexis Stewart, Neveah Stewart, Deanna Stewart, Dominick Jones and Rodney Ray-Leigh Stewart II; and numerous nieces and nephews and other family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Perry Stewart, and a brother, Donald Stewart.

Visitation will be held Sept. 5, 2014, at Brown-McGehee Funeral Home from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. and will resume Saturday, Sept. 6, 2014, after 8 a.m. until service time at 10 a.m. The Rev. Jimmy Van Winkle will officiate the services, with the interment to follow in the Ponemah Cemetery.
