Darrell McIntyre

Darrell Ray McIntyre, age 55 and a resident of the Bolivar Community, passed away early Wednesday, Aug. 27, 2014.

He was born June 1, 1959, and was a carpenter by trade. Darrell was a huge NASCAR fan and was a friend to everyone he met. He was a simple man with a wealth of knowledge and talent.

No one could ever say that Darrell didn’t love people and that people didn’t love Darrell.

He is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Mikel “Mikey” McIntyre and Ellie McIntyre; a granddaughter, Emmie McIntyre; five brothers and sisters-in-law, Dale and Margaret McIntyre, Bobby and Lenora McIntyre, Aaron McIntyre, Dudley and Cathy McIntyre and Troy McIntyre; a sister, Judith McIntyre; and special friends, Jessie and Tammy Knight. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Armette McIntyre and Frances Tate McIntyre, and a brother, Aubrey McIntyre.

Visitation was at Crain Funeral Home Thursday, Aug. 28, from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. A graveside funeral service was held at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at the Charles McIntyre Family Cemetery near Bolivar.

The family wishes to send a sincere thank you to Legacy Hospice and to friends Joe and Becky Jeager for their care and support.

The pallbearers were Landers “Big Daddy” Spears, Scott “Rufus” Magee, Darrell “Miller” Miller, Dana “D” Sumrall, Jeremy “Volley” Sumrall and John D. “Pooh Bear” May.
