Justin P. Arnold Sr. recently announced his candidacy for Bogalusa City Council, District B.

Arnold has been a resident of Bogalusa his whole life. He has been married to Oneita Jenkins Arnold for the past 14 years, and the couple has four children and seven grandchildren.

He is a 1985 graduate of Bogalusa High School and a 1987 graduate of Sullivan Vocational School, with a certificate in welding and blueprint reading. He is retired from the Bogalusa Public Works Department.

In his announcement, Arnold said, “I have seen many changes in our district, some good and some not so good. Seeing the condition of our neighborhood has given me a passion to try to stand for what is right and take an interest in making a difference for the people of our community. There are issues that not only I am concerned about, but some District B citizens have voiced concerns to me, as well.

“Through much prayer and after discussions with some of the people in District B, as well as others in the community of Bogalusa, I have decided to run for Bogalusa City Councilman for District B. Thank you in advance for your support.”
