Mr. Robert Dewayne Byrd was born on Nov. 15, 1967, to Jewel Byrd Vernon and Bobby Foster in Bogalusa. He departed this life on Saturday, Aug. 2, 2014.

He leaves to cherish his loving memories his twins, Justice Casnave and Justin Casnave of Covington; a goddaughter, Kayla Brown of Covington; his parents, Jewel B. Vernon of Bogalusa and Bobby (Doris) Foster of Los Angeles; sisters, Susan (Denson) Pittman of Bogalusa, Cynthia (LaRide) Conerly of Dallas and Genisha Foster of Los Angeles; one brother, Bobby Foster of Los Angeles; a sister-in-law, Jannette Byrd of Slidell; aunts, Marie Mims, Revieta Lampley, Priscilla Lampley and Iris (Norman) Robinson all of Columbus, Ohio, Kimberly (Michael) Peters of Tuscon, Ariz., Annette (Jerry) Perkins of Bogalusa , Carrie Nell Foster of Covington, Lisa Jackson, Stacy Martin, Kyron Ladner and Stephanie Roberts, all of Bogalusa, and Eartha Byrd of Hattiesburg, Miss.; uncles, Michael (Victoria) Forman, Willie Halloway, Antoine (Sharise) Forman of San Diego, Louis (Christy) Moses of Murrettia, Calif., Joseph Forman and Lionell (Janet) Foster of Covington and Kirk Hill and Kiley Martin of Bogalusa; grandfather, David Lampley; great-aunts, Annie Mae Jordan of Poplarville, Miss., Lucy Jordan of Chicago and Effie Peters of Bogalusa; a donor brother, Kenneth (Kathy) Kelly of Florence, Miss.; special friends, James and Delon Harry and Kelton Collins; and a host of relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his stepfather, Terry Donald Vernon; brother, Terry Duane Byrd; and grandparents, Revie Jordan Byrd Lampley, Robert Byrd, Oneil Foster, James Moses and Curtis Martin.

A memorial service will be Saturday, Aug. 9, 2014, at noon at Mt. Moriah Baptist Church, with the Rev. Stanley E. Nathaniel officiating. Cook-Richmond and Sons is in charge of arrangements.
