Sister Mary L. Dennis was born July 8, 1925, to the late Bro. Peter and Vergie Brumfield. On Thursday, July 31, 2014, an angel came and whispered ‘peace be thine.’

She leaves to cherish her memories seven children: Thomas (Elaine) Brown of Henrietta, N.Y., Roy (Priscilla) Brown of Las Vegas, Louise Jones of Stockton, Calif., Lozannie Lee of Lafayette, La., Mary Walker of Rochester, N.Y., Sylvia (Rickey) Brukhalter of Franklinton and Donna (Morris) Myles of Melbourne, Fla.; a granddaughter she raised as her own, Michelle Taylor of Franklinton; one brother, Rickey (Dianne) Brumfield; two sisters, Phylis (Elder Gregory) Johnson of Atlanta and Deidra (Terry ) Perry of Folsom; a stepsister, Pyndora (Charles) Jones of Port Arthur, Texas; two sisters-in-law, Laurie Bell Brumfield and Mattie Brumfield of Folsom; 17 grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Sis. Mary was preceded in death by her husbands, Thomas Brown and Deacon Willie Garrett; her parents, Bro. Peter and Vergie Brumfield; a stepmother, Missionary Winnie Brumfield; four brothers, Deacon Shuly Brumfield, Elder Carlese Brumfield, Peter Ree Brumfield and Herbert Brumfield; and three sisters, Evelean Watson, Aline Garrett and Ida Brumfield.

Visitation will be Wednesday, Aug. 6, 2014, from, 2 p.m. until 6 p.m., with a family hour to follow from 6 p.m. until 7 p.m. at Crain and Sons Funeral Home in Franklinton.

Funeral Service will be Thursday, Aug. 7, 2014, at 11 a.m. at Midway Church of Christ Holiness in Folsom, with Elder Leroy Divinity officiating and Bishop Vernon Kennebrew eulogist.
