Michael Lendall “Spoonhead” Bagent was born on Sept. 25, 1957, in Bogalusa to the union of Joseph and Hazel Bagent. His godly life ended on Saturday, Aug. 2, 2014.

He leaves to cherish his memory a wife, Glenda F. Bagent; his mother, Hazel Bagent; two sons: Michael Pam of Houston and Keith McCarty of El Paso, Texas; five daughters: Desiree Brister of Bogalusa, Irene Henry of Bogalusa, Markayla Harvey of Tacoma Wash., Monchel Pam of Mandeville and Kenyatta McCarty of New Orleans; four sisters: Arlene S. Finch of Fife, Wash., Josephine McQuarter of Charlotte, N.C., Tonya B. Martin of Baton Rouge and Tyneka Weary of Atlanta; 21 grandchildren; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends

Visitation will be Friday, Aug. 8, 2014, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Abundant Life Ministries, 9900 Haynes Blvd., New Orleans. Funeral services will held on Saturday, Aug. 9, 2014, at 2 p.m. at St. John Temple Church of God in Christ, 1126 N. Roosevelt, Bogalusa.
