Kara Ann Penton, age 23, died Sunday, June 29, 2014, at home in Slidell. Penton, a Covington native, was a student.

She is survived by her daughter, Bre Evelyn Krause; her brother, Kory Donald Penton; her stepbrothers, Kristopher Reilly Mitchell and Cameron Thomas Wade; her stepsister, Sydney Dell Wade, her mother, Terry Dean Penton; her father and stepmother, Donald “Donnie” G. Penton and Tammey M. Penton; and her grandmother, Mary Berreth.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Donald G. Penton Sr., Evelyn Joan Penton and Tom A. Dean.

Visitation will be held Saturday, July 5, 2014, from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the Church of Latter Day Saints on Louisiana Highway 21 in Bogalusa, with services at 2 p.m. Interment will follow at Ponemah Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family will have a donation box set up at the church to help cover funeral expenses.
