There will be alternating, intermittent lane closures of both eastbound and westbound lanes on Louisiana Highway 10 between Franklinton (Milepost 233.01) and Bogalusa (Milepost 253.64), from Tuesday, July 1 through Friday, Aug. 15 (weather permitting) while Department of Transportation crews install drainage structures, remove and replace the asphalt roadway and stripe the road.

At least one lane will remain open to traffic at all times.

To avoid delays, motorists travelling east on Highway 10 may take Louisiana Highway 436 east to Louisiana Highway 21, then travel south on Highway 21 to Highway 10.

Motorists traveling west on Highway 10 may take Highway 21 north to Highway 436, then travel west on Highway 436 to Highway 10.

The Department of Transportation reminds motorists to drive with caution and be on the lookout for work crews and equipment.
