Betty Donovan Collins, age 93 and a resident of Franklinton, died at 8 a.m. Saturday, June 21, 2014, at Good Samaritan Nursing Home.

She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church and the widow of Jack G. Collins.

She is survived by three children: Carolyn J. Collin of Las Vegas, Marvin L. Collins of Baton Rouge and Bonnie C. Mitchell of Franklinton; six grandchildren: Vicki L. Colvin, Jackie C. Hall, Sean M. Collins, Jennifer T. Mitchell, William “Bo” Mitchell and Missy C. Cardella; and 13 great-grandchildren.

Visitation was at Crain Funeral Home after 10 a.m. on Monday, June 23, 2014. A funeral service was held at noon Monday, with the Rev. Marvin L. Collins and the Rev. Ralph Parks officiating. Burial followed in the Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery.
