Mattie Elizabeth Jenkins, age 85, passed away June 17, 2014, at her residence in Sun.

She is survived by one daughter, Cynthia Lynn Jones of Sun; five grandchildren, Victor Wayne Jones Jr., Christopher Glenn Jones, Terry L. Jenkins Jr., Ronald W. Jenkins Jr. and Michelle L. Jenkins; and three great-grandchildren, Kaylen Grace Jones, Avery Jenkins and Paige Jenkins.

She was preceded in death by two sons, Ronald Wayne Jenkins and Terry Leroy Jenkins; parents Nelson and Geneva Jenkins; one brother, Myron Jenkins; and one sister, Dorothy Jenkins Reed.

Visitation was held in the chapel of Brown-McGehee Funeral Home on Thursday, June 19, 2014, from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. Visitation will continue Friday from 8 a.m. until time for services in the chapel at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Jenkins Cemetery. The Rev. Leon Hickman will officiate.
