Lillian Amacker Fontenot, age 90, born on March 15, 1924, in Pearl River County, Miss., a resident of Baton Rouge, passed away at The Hospice Butterfly Wing in Baton Rouge.

She is survived by three children: Stephen Fontenot and his children, Laura Fontenot and Christopher Fontenot and grandchildren; Wayne Fontenot and his children, Doug Fontenot, Jesse Fontenot and and Rachel Fontenot and grandchildren and Victoria Fontenot and her children, Ashley Slater Kinchen and Eva Marilyn Slater and two grandchildren, Colton and Kirsten Kinchen; and one brother, Elbert Amacker.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Francis Fontenot; and her parents, James Monroe Amacker and Rose Anne Breland Amacker.

Visitation was held on Friday, June 6, 2014, at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home from noon-2 p.m. The funeral services were at 2 p.m., with the Rev. Steve Chadwick officiating. Interment followed at Ponemah Cemetery.
