Before residing with her son and daughter-in-law, Mary lived her entire life in the Lee’s Creek Community of Bogalusa. While living with her son and daughter-in-law, she resided for six years in Stevensville, Mont.; and then moved with them to Crawfordville, Fla. Mary, known as “Granny” to her family, was a lifelong member of Lee’s Creek Baptist Church. She was born on Jan. 30, 1921 in Bogalusa.
She is survived by her son, Larry Edwards, and daughter-in-law, Glenda S. Edwards, of Crawfordville; and her two grandsons, Bryan Edwards of Crawfordville and Matt Edwards of Tallahassee; Matt’s wife, Amy; and great-grandson, Joseph Vincent Edwards.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Fannie Williams Pounds; sisters Wilma Pounds, Ida Bertoniere and Willie B Williams; and brothers, Jay and Bruce Pounds.
