Bossier City double homicide suspect arrested in Bogalusa

Early Saturday, Bogalusa Police Department officers and Washington Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies assisted in the arrest of a double homicide suspect wanted in Bossier City.
Bogalusa Police Chief Joe Culpepper said the Bossier City Police Department had a warrant for the arrest of 26-year-old Brandan Santrell Butler.
Bossier City detectives had information Butler, the suspect in a May 11 double homicide, was in Bogalusa. He was located by BPD officers and WPSO deputies at a local restaurant and taken into custody without incident around 2 a.m. Saturday.
A weapon was seized, but Culpepper said it is not known if it is connected to this case.
Butler has been charged with two counts of first-degree murder and is currently being held in the Bogalusa City Jail.
