MOORE
Joe W. Moore, age 87, born on April 16, 1927, in Oral, Miss., a resident of Bogalusa, passed away on Tuesday, May 13, 2014, at Our Lady of the Angels Hospital in Bogalusa.
Joe was a faithful member of Ben’s Ford Baptist Church and was very devoted in helping prepare the Sunday Bulletin. He was a member of Masonic Center Lodge No. 244 F & AM, a member of Royal Arch Mason and past patron of Jessamine Chapter No. 82 Order of Eastern Star.
He is survived by his wife, Glenda Moore of Bogalusa; five daughters, Kathy Wallace and Margaret Creel, both of Bogalusa, Diane Lewis of LaPlace, Lori Williams of Franklinton and Lisa Hobgood of Tennessee; three sons, Stanley Moore, Terry Little and Gerald Little, all of Bogalusa.; 14 grandchildren, Shane Creel, Kevin Moore, Stacey Rester, Jennifer Lewis, Ryan Payne, Justin Payne, Ethan Hobgood, Zachary Little, Joseph Ditcharo, Brittany Maxwell, Bryan Maxwell, Heather McKnight, April Little-Bell and Derek Little; 28 great-grandchildren; and a nephew, Rick Moore.
He was preceded in death by a son, Greg Little; his parents, Jesse and Willie McKenzie Moore; and a brother, Sam Moore.
Visitation was held on Thursday, May 15, 2014, at Ben’s Ford Baptist Church from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m.
Visitation will continue on Friday, May 16, 2014, at Ben’s Ford Baptist Church from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. The funeral services will be at 11 a.m. with Bro. Lynn Martin, Bro. Caleb Martin and Bro. Jim Byrd officiating. Interment will follow at Ben’s Ford Baptist Church Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Ben’s Ford Baptist Church BEAMS Bibles.
