Torie Denise Moses Smith, age 36, a resident of Bogalusa, passed away Monday, May 5, 2014, at her residence.
She leaves to cherish her memories her loving husband, Derrick Smith; a daughter, D’Lecia Denise; and a son, D’Lijiah Doane Smith, all of Bogalusa; her loving parents, Mr. and Mrs. Larry (Frankie) Moses of Bogalusa; two sister, Glenda (Michael) Scott and Ivy Moses, both of Bogalusa; five aunts, Melvin Dixon of Vero Beach, Fla., Clara Jones of New Orleans, Barbara Causey of Dallas, Mercede Sibley of St. Francisville and Debra (Darrin) Dixon of Bogalusa; five uncles, Ado (Valine) Causey Jr., Louis (Shondra) Causey and Zachary (Sabrina) Causey, all of Bogalusa, Bruce Causey of Baton Rouge and Ernest Lewis Sr. of Mt. Morris, Mich.; two nieces, Anjelica Moses and J’La Moses, both of Bogalusa; four nephews, Kole Moses, K’Lyn Moses, Bradley Moses and Ji’Ryn Moses, all of Bogalusa; one great nephew, Nigel Moses of Bogalusa; one great niece, Ny’Lia Moses, both of Bogalusa; and a host of cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Lisa Moses; paternal grandparents, Chester Moses and Glenda Sibley; maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Ado (Alberta) Causey Sr.; two uncles, Johnny Brumfield and Wally Brumfield; and one aunt, Beatrice Lewis.
Visitation will be Friday, May 9, 2014, from 2 to 6 p.m., with a family hour from 6 until 7 p.m. at Crain and Sons Funeral Home in Bogalusa.
The funeral service will be Saturday, May 10, 2014, at 3 p.m. at Antioch Church of Christ Holiness USA in Bogalusa, with Pastor Michael O’Ree of Christway Ministries, eulogist and Elder Elzey Bridges, officiating. Interment will be held in the Bogalusa Cemetery in Bogalusa.
