KILLINGSWORTH
Lyle Vincent Killingsworth II, 70, a resident of Hattiesburg, Miss., died at 2 a.m. May 6, 2014 at Wesley Medical Center in Hattiesburg where he was being treated for cardiac related issues.
Vin served in the Air Force for four years at Lackland Air Force Base in Texas and in Japan. He worked in the oil business for many years for both Gulf and Chevron Oil and in Louisiana, Texas and Zaire, Africa. He loved to swap and trade, always looking for a good deal. Vin loved to tell stories and was an avid talker, turning strangers into friends at the first handshake. He loved his family and adored his two granddaughters and spent as much time as he could with them.
He is survived by: his wife Pam Simmons Killingsworth of Franklinton; two daughters, Vinessa Killingsworth of Franklinton and Kristy Killingsworth Stockman and son-in-law, Stephen of Lufkin, Texas; two granddaughters, Kristen Stockman of Hattiesburg and Kaylee Stockman of Lufkin; his mother, Virginia Killingsworth of Franklinton; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Bette and Mike Cassidy of Mt. Hermon and Laurie and Brent Duncan of Hackley; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Lyle Vincent Killingsworth I.
There will be a memorial service at Centenary Methodist Church in Franklinton, May 10 from noon-2 p.m. Visitation begins at noon with a service following at 1:30 p.m.
