SUMRALL

Zelma Hunt Sumrall, 83, died Monday, April 21, 2014, at her residence in Pine.

She was born on Oct. 12, 1930, and was a member of Lawrence Creek Missionary Baptist Church. She enjoyed reading the Bible, tending to her flowers, cooking and spending time with her family.

She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Gary and Gwen Sumrall of Carriere, Miss., and Keith and Pam Sumrall of Pine; five grandchildren and spouses,

Anthony and Brandi Sumrall, Jonathan and Kristy Sumrall, Amy Leah and Jeremy Sheasby Valerie Sumrall and Stacey Sumrall; and eight great-grandchildren, Steele, Ryder, Marin, Malli Grace, Madie, Alyssa, Ikelyn and Isaiah.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Sumrall; a great-grandchild, Maris Sumrall; her parents, Eddie and Carrie Barber Hunt; two sisters; and two brothers.

Visitation will be Wednesday, April 23 at Crain Funeral Home from 4:30-9 p.m. and will continue on Thursday from 9 a.m. until time for the funeral service at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel, with Elder Edward Penton and Elder Duane Ball officiating. Burial will follow in Acy’s Creek Church Cemetery.
