REEVES

James Ambrose Reeves, 101, a resident of Franklinton for the past 40 years, died Friday, Marcy 21, 2014, at Heritage Manor Nursing Home.

He was born in Poolville, Texas, on June 7, 1912, to John S. and Hannah Hocott Reeves and had seven siblings. In 1951, he was ordained as a minister of Jehovah’s Witnesses and continued to be active in his ministry for 63 years until his death.

He is survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

His wife of 67 years, Ora Rogers Reeves, and two daughters preceded him in death.

Relatives and friends are invited to his memorial service Saturday, April 12, at 2 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 42590 Highway 16 East in Franklinton.
