The city of Bogalusa received a $5,000 check from Entergy Tuesday for its Centennial Celebration events. Entergy Customer Service Representative Eunice Harris said the donation is Entergy’s way of saying thank you to the city. “Entergy is always proud to be a part of bringing its customers together in a culture of celebration, especially when it comes to celebrating pending economic development,” she said. “Economic development means more jobs, new homes and businesses, downtown development projects, improved schools, etc. Celebrations bring on ‘what if’ discussions among community leaders that generate new ideas. And those ideas constitute a healthy networking community.” Shown are, from left: Centennial Committee Chair Judy Gray, Harris and Mayor Charles Mizell.
