JACKSON

Larry Donel Jackson Sr., 48, a former resident of Bogalusa, passed away Friday, Feb. 28, 2014, at Christus St. Frances Cabrini Hospital in Alexandria.

He is survived by his former wife and the mother of his children, Shineida Jackson of Bogalusa; three children, Bakari (Shermaine) Roberts of Hammond, and Shakiera Roberts and Larry Jackson Jr., both of Bogalusa; five grandchildren, Chaiston Roberts and Mi’Kellya Wise of Bogalusa, and Tay’Linn Roberts, Jaron Perry and Zavior Keys, all of Hammond; three brothers, Anthony Smith of Oakdale, Jeffery (Shawanna) Jackson of Bastrop and Fredrick Jackson of Bogalusa; one sister, Lisa (Rev. Lemuel) Holloway of Bogalusa; a special niece, Narorriea Lantigua of Miami; his mother-in-law, Brenda (Linell) Roberts of Angie; three aunts, Hilda Brown of Hattiesburg, Miss., Gladys Nichols of Irving, Texas, and Ruby Jackson of Los Angeles; two brothers-in-law, Darrence Roberts of Angie and Derrick Bickham of Palo Alto, Calif.; three sisters-in-law, Shinell Roberts and Lakieta Roberts, both of Bogalusa, and Rashonda Roberts of Covington; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy Mae Jackson; his father, Fleet Graves; his grandmother, Essie Jackson Jenkins; and two brothers, Darren Jackson Sr. and Marvin Jackson.

Visitation will be held Monday, March 10 at Crain and Sons Funeral Home in Bogalusa from 9 a.m. until service time at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel, with pastor Robert Skiffer officiating. Interment will follow in Bogalusa Cemetery.
