The Bogalusa Police Department is investigating an armed robbery that occurred Monday night at the Chevron station on Sunset Drive.

Police Chief Joe Culpepper said the department received a call about a panic alarm at the station at 9:13 p.m., and officers responded to the Chevron at 1201 Sunset Drive.

Reportedly, a black male entered the store armed with a weapon and demanded money from the clerk. Culpepper said an undisclosed amount of money was taken.

He said the investigation is under way, and the department is in the process of obtaining the store surveillance video and taking statements from witnesses.

No one was injured during the incident, and Culpepper said no arrests have been made at this time.
