SCHERER

Kathleen Rose Scherer, 56, died Saturday, Jan. 25, 2014, at her home in Franklinton. Born New Orleans on Sept. 18, 1957, Kathleen was a former resident of Destrehan and had lived near the Stoney Point Community for 10 years. She enjoyed traveling and loved gardening and spending time outdoors. She was a true animal lover and had a special place in her heart for her many pet cats.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Staci Lynn Frieman and Jason Frieman of Biloxi, Miss.; a son and daughter-in-law, Derek A. Scherer and Gloria Robin of Jefferson; her partner in life, Ryan Holder of Franklinton; five granddaughters, Krystina Danyela Frieman, Kaytlin Michele Frieman, Keely Madison Frieman, Sierra Noelle Frieman and Emma Marie Frieman; three sisters, Marie Annette “Nettie” Russell, Cindy Martin Ahrens and Toni Hickman; two brothers, Raymond Robin Jr. and Lloyd “Butch” Martin; her stepparents, Thelma and Anthony Lucido and Sandy Martin; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond Bernard Robin and Carmen Marie Thore Robin; her stepfather, Lloyd Martin; three sisters, Mary Ella Raynard, Carmen Marie Robin and Mary Martin; and a brother, Kenny Martin.

Visitation will be held Saturday, Feb. 8 at Crain Funeral Home Saturday from 1 p.m. until time for a memorial service at 3 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.
