BROUSSARD

Paula Adams Broussard passed away peacefully Saturday, Jan. 25, 2014, in Lafayette, her home for the past 23 years.

Born on July 10, 1933, Paula was a native of Bogalusa and a graduate of Bogalusa High School. She graduated from Southwestern Louisiana Institute, now the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, with a teaching degree. An avid member of St. Pius X Catholic Church in Lafayette, Paula was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend to all who knew her. She will be dearly missed.

She is survived by two daughters, Nona Wood Krishack and her husband, the Rev. Tony Krishack, and Lesley Broussard DiRosa and her husband, Judge Louis DiRosa; two sons, Guy Rainer Broussard III and his wife, Lee Ann Broussard, and Brian Paul Broussard and his fiancée, Angela K. Aguillard; one brother, James Howard Lea Jr. and his wife, Gay Lea; eight grandchildren, Robert Wood, Ashley DiRosa, Guy R. Broussard IV, Elizabeth Wood Wilson, Audrey Broussard Thompson, James Paul Broussard, Nora Broussard and Samuel Broussard; and four great-grandchildren, Harker Broussard Wood, Keaton Wood, Evelyn Taylor, and Rainer DiRosa Kallok.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Guy R. Broussard II; her son, Robert “Scott” Broussard; her mother, Troy Knight Lea, and her father, Percell Adams.

Private graveside services will be held at Graceland Cemetery in Abbeville. The Rev. Tony Krishack will officiate the funeral services.
