LASSLEY

Janell E. Lassley, 84, passed away Friday, Jan.16, 2014. She was born in French Settlement on Sept. 5, 1929.

She is survived by one son, Rev. Larry Sr. (Catherine) Lassley; one daughter, Lydona Dunaway; a son-in-law, Ken-neth (Madeline) Freeman; a granddaughter she had raised, Robin Ann (Dwight) Sholar; a special niece, Sheila (James) Boswell; five grandchildren, Larry R. Lassley II, David P. (Michelle) Lassley, Beth (Kevin) McGehee, George R. (Courtney) Freeman and Kimberly (Scott) Turnage; and 15 great-grandchildren, Alora Lassley, Joshua Lassley, Laken Lassley, Ali Lassley, Karli Turnage, Drew Turnage, Grayden Dequeante, Patrick Rich-ardson, Sidney Richardson, Brooke Holloway, Emily Holloway, Sarah Holloway, Evan Sholar, Noah McGehee and Catherine McGehee.

She was preceded in death by her husband, G. R. Lassley; one daughter, Judy Freeman; her parents, O. W. Lott and Zelma Jenkins Lott; and one sister, Juanita Davis.

Visitation will be held Sunday, Jan. 19 at Calvary Christian Fellowship Church, 1240 Avenue F in Bogalusa, from 10 a.m. until time for the funeral service at 2 p.m., with her son, the Rev. Larry Lassley Sr., officiating. Interment will follow at Ponemah Cemetery.
