Lester Brown, a resident of Franklinton, born Sept. 26, 1942, passed away Nov. 19, 2013, at the age of 72.

He is survived by his wife, Burnell Toomer Brown; two daughters, Keisha (Ike) Brown Allen of Franklinton and Beverly Martin of Franklinton; one grandson, Lakendrick Martin of Franklinton; Mardessa Bickham, cousin; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held Saturday, Nov. 23 at New Jerusalem Baptist Church, 44030 Max Brumfield Road in Franklinton, from 10 a.m. until time for the service at noon. The Rev. Johnny E. Causey Sr. will officiate the services. Internment will be at Brown Cemetery.
