Ronald E. Linder

Ronald E. Linder, born June 8, 1940, died Friday, Nov. 15, 2013 at St. Tammany Parish Hospital in Covington. He was 73 years old and a resident of Franklinton.

He is survived by his wife, Dolly Linder of Franklinton; a son, David (Lynn) Lang of Bogalusa; three daughters, Mavis (Ray) Merritt of Franklinton, Nelda Moran of Bogalusa and Brenda Jordan of Columbia, Miss.; one brother, Ray (Kathy) Linder, Monticello, Ark.; and one sister, Flora (Horace) Austin of Pineville. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great- grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.

He was a veteran and served in the United States Marine Corps. He was a corrections officer and retired from the Rayburn Correctional Center.

Visitation was held Monday, Nov. 18 at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home from 9:30 a.m. until time for services will at 3 p.m. in the Poole-Ritchie Chapel with Rev. Lynn Martin and Bro. Caleb Martin officiating. Interment will follow in the Ben’s Ford Baptist Church Cemetery with Military Graveside Rites by the Magic City American Legion Post 24.

Pallbearers will be Jacob Lang, Blake Hunt, Brandon Hunt, Horace Austin, Lane Austin and Craig Austin.
