FOWLER

Clarice Day Fowler, 92, of Bogalusa, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, Nov. 9, 2013, at Aston Court in McComb, Miss.

She was born in Jayess, Miss., on Sept. 1, 1921. She retired from the Bogalusa Paper Mill and was a member of Pettitt Memorial Baptist Church. She loved playing the piano and tending to her daylilies. She had a deep love for her church, friends and family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Zeb Fowler Jr.; her parents, Willie and Clara Riley Day; two sisters, Alma Day Rayborn and Norma Day Alexander and their husbands; and one brother, Willie Mack Day and his wife.

She is survived by a host of nieces and nephews, friends and church family.

Visitation was held Monday, Nov. 11 at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home from 10:30 a.m. until time for the funeral service at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel, with the Rev. James F. Taylor Jr., Major Chaplain, U.S. Air Force, and the Rev. Larry Jacobs officiating. Entombment followed at Sanctuary of Peace Mausoleum in Ponemah Cemetery.

Active pallbearers were Jerry Rayborn, Doug Porter, Murphy Bennett, Travis Easley, Glenn Sanders and Jeffrey Stewart. Honorary pallbearers were Brian Bennett, Robert Bullen, Kendall Bullen and Troy Tervalon.
