SIMONEAUX

Eva Simmons Simoneaux, 95, a resident of Franklinton, passed from this life Wednesday, Oct. 30, 2013, at Nottingham Regional Rehab Center in Baton Rouge.

She was born on March 23, 1918, and graduated from Pine High School in Washington Parish. She loved watching birds and working with flowers. Eva was a loving wife, sister and aunt. She will be missed by so many.

Eva was preceded in death by her husband, Clifton Simoneaux; her parents, James and Velma Simmons; a sister, Ella Rose Quinilty; three brothers, Jake, Dewitt, and Bernell Simmons; and a nephew, Vernon Kent Fitzpatrick.

She is survived by a nephew, Paul (Becky) Fitzpatrick; nieces, Paulette Bordelon, Linda (Alfred) Versen and Carolyn (Jimmy) Merriett; and a host of other family members and friends.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, Nov. 2 at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home from 11 a.m. until time for the funeral service at 1 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow at Baughman Cemetery in Franklinton.
