NEVERS

Iva Aline Magee Nevers, 89, a resident of Bogalusa, died Sunday, Oct. 20, 2013, at Resthaven Living Center in Bogalusa.

She was born in Enon, Walthall County, Miss., on Nov. 30, 1923, and first worked at Tung Oil Research in Bogalusa.

Her husband, Ben H. Nevers, a sister, Cammie Rials, and a brother, Clyde Ray Magee, preceded her in death.

She is survived by two daughters, Theresa Nevers Lomzenski and Ann Chauvin of Bogalusa, one son, Ben W. (Ann) Nevers and one brother, J. W. (Brenda) Magee, all of Bogalusa. She also survived by eight grandchildren, John Lomzenski (Neha), Amy Wade (Alan), Traci Magee (Cody), Joey Crowe (Staci), Christy Ewell (Otis), Benjie Nevers (Fran), Julie Nevers and Andy Nevers (Amanda); numerous great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other family members.

Visitation was held Tuesday, Oct. 22, 2013, at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home from 9 a.m. until time for the funeral service at 1 p.m. in the funeral home chapel, with the Rev. Field Thigpen and the Rev. Randy Magee officiating. Interment followed at Hillview Memorial Gardens.
