WILLIAMS

On Friday, Oct. 4, 2013, Patricia Ann McKelpin Williams was called home at the age of 62.

She was born in Bogalusa on Oct. 30, 1950 to Willie B. and Elverna McKelphin. Overall she was a woman of strong faith throughout her life and that was instilled into her children. She will now become a treasure to her family.

Patricia will be remembered with love by her husband, Sylvester Williams; one son, Richard A Payne; three daughters, Veronica Payne, Katrina Payne and Suan (Timothy) Porter, all of Bogalusa; four stepchildren, Deidre, Agnes, Demonta and Sylvester, all of Mississippi; one sister, Brenda (Leonard) Allen of New Orleans; three brothers, Willie Ray (Lorna) McKelphin, Larry McKelphin and Glennis (Phyillis) McKelphin, all Bogalusa; two aunts, Savannah Magee Tate of Bogalusa and Aristine Johnson of Hammond; one sister-in-law, Mary Ann Mitchell of Chicago; six grandchildren, Richard Sr. (Kasey) Payne, La-Keshia Allen, Reginald Payne, Nicholas Payne, ShaKira Porter and Kierra Johnson; nine great-grandchildren, Polow, KaeReaiah, Cristian, Richard Jr., Reynis, Ra’Niya, R’Maani, Rodrick Jr. and Christian; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Her parents, Willie and Elverna McKelphin; her daughter, Jacqueline Payne; and two grandsons, Rodrick Payne Sr. and Kendrick Payne, preceded her in death.

Visitation will be Saturday, Oct. 12 at Greater Bogalusa Full Gospel Baptist Church, 814 Union Ave. in Bogalusa, from 10 a.m. until 12:30 p.m., followed by a funeral service at 1 p.m., with Jerry L. Newton, pastor, officiating.
