ROGERS

Kimberly Rogers passed away Saturday, Aug. 24, 2013, in Bogalusa. She was born on Feb. 27, 1961, and was a member of Mt. Moriah Baptist Church.

She leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Carl “Gabby” Rogers of Bogalusa; a son, Michael “Mookie” Magee Jr. of Bogalusa; three daughters that she raised as her own, Nicki (Raymond) May of Mt. Holly, N.C., Lashondra Burns of Bogalusa and Tiffany Johnson of Dallas; four brothers, Willie Calloway, Jessie Calloway and David Johnson all of Flint, Mich., and Barry Johnson of Texas City, Texas; three sisters, Diane Calloway Dunn of Bogalusa, Shirley Calloway Mac Arthur of Pensacola, Fla., and Gwendolyn Simmons of Tylertown, Miss.; an uncle who was like a father, Charles Calloway; 13 grandchildren; and host of other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Willie James Calloway; her mother, Angie Burnett; a devoted first husband, Michael Magee Sr.; a dedicated stepfather, Elous Burnett; and one sister, Brenda Magee.

The visitation will take place Friday, Aug. 30 at Crain and Sons Funeral Home in Bogalusa from 2-6 p.m., with a family hour from 6-7 p.m.

The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday at Mt. Moriah Baptist Church, with the Rev. Stanley Nathaniel, pastor, officiating. Interment will follow at Salem Baptist Church.
