PENTON

Doris Ann Henderson Penton, 87, passed away Saturday, Aug. 17, 2013, at St. Tammany Parish Hospital in Covington.

Born Aug. 20, 1925, she was a member of Palestine Baptist Church.

She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Sue Penton; two grandsons, David W. (Jennifer) Penton and Scott A. (Yvonne) Penton; seven grandchildren, Amanda L. Penton, Cody W. Penton, David C. Penton, Bailey L. Penton, Kayla Penton, Ivan Penton and Paloma Penton.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Doyle Penton; her son, Thomas Doyle Penton Jr., her parents, Daniel Ryan Henderson and Vaden Crass Henderson; her sister, Elsie Henderson Sheridan; and her brother, William Ryan Henderson.

Visitation will be held Thursday, Aug. 22 at Brown McGehee Funeral Home from 9:30 a.m. until time for the funeral service at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow in Palestine Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Fred Brumfield will officiate.
