SEAL

Daniel Brister Seal, 90, passed away Saturday, Aug. 17, 2013, at his residence. Born July 7, 1923, he attended and was a member of Pine Grove Missionary Baptist Church.

He is survived by two sons, David E. Seal of Angie and Barry Seal of Varnado; one daughter, Darlene (Daniel) Shirlen of Houston; two brothers, Charles Alfred (Ruth) Seal of Bogalusa and Edwin (Charlotte) Seal of Norfolk, Va.; a half-brother, Patrick Seal of Florida; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and He was preceded in death by his parents, Adolphus and Laura Fortenberry Seal; his wife, Myrtle Knight Seal; a son, Ronney D. Seal; a brother, Talmadge Seal; and five sisters, Rosalie Daigre, Mecia Warner Knight, Audrey Stogner, Adrienne Calender and Charlotte McDaniel. Visitation was held Tuesday, Aug. 20 at Brown-McGehee Funeral Home from 5-9 p.m., and will resume on Wednesday from 8 a.m. until time for the funeral service at 10 a.m., conducted by Elder Mark Hobgood. Interment will follow in the Seal Cemetery at Stateline.

Pallbearers are James Seal, Danny Seal, Johnny Hebert, Wilson Seal, Milton Seal and Paul Thibodeaux. Honorary pallbearers are Bobby Smith, Brandon Howard, John Crain and Daniel Shirlen.
