HORNE

Jeannette Rene Horne, 48, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 14, 2013, at UNC Hospital in Chapel Hill, N.C. She was a native of Bogalusa and resident of Hamlet, N.C.

She is survived by her husband, Richard “Rick” Horne of Hamlet; two sons, Christopher Phelps of Picayune Miss., and Levi Jenkins of Greenville, Miss.; her mother, Lois Craft of Liberty, Miss.; two brothers, Joe Phelps of Slidell and Michael Parker of Bogalusa; three sisters, Marie Phelps of Picayune, Rose Starks of Varnado and Dianne Blackwell of Covington; three grandchildren, Christopher Kyle Phelps, Candace Phelps and Brianna Horne; a special niece, Sherry White; and many other nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, Alton Phelps; a brother, Leroy Phelps; and three sisters, Gloria Fay Phelps, Sandy Stansberry and Joyce Phelps.

Visitation will be held Sunday, Aug. 18 at Brown-McGehee Funeral Home from 6-9 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Monday at 10 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. David Pigott officiating. Burial will follow in Ponemah Cemetery.
