MILLER

Carlos Otha Miller, 73, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 13, 2013, at St. Tammany Parish Hospital.

Born Oct. 26, 1939, he was a member of Talley’s Chapel Community Church in Sun. He served his country in the United States Army and was stationed in Germany for three and a half years.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 49 years, Barbara Munizza Miller of Sun; two sons, Christopher (Teresa) Miller of Abita Springs and Chad Dean (Hali) Miller of Rio; four grandchildren, Courtney (Bradee) Lavere, Nicholas Laine Miller, Nicholas Ammons and Tucker Martin; and numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William Otha and Addie Fauntleroy Miller; three brothers, John David Miller, Tillman “Monk” Miller and Elzy Lee Miller; and one sister, Olivia Sharp.

Visitation will be held Saturday, Aug. 17 at Talley’s Chapel Community Church from 11 a.m. until time for the memorial service at 1 p.m., with the Rev. Leo Burge and the Rev. Randy Magee officiating.
