JENKINS

Lucille Darlene Jenkins passed away Thursday, Aug. 1, 2013, at LSU Bogalusa Medical Center at the age of 56. Born April 17, 1957, she was a native of Bogalusa and was a member of Midway Missionary Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband, Clayton Lavon Jenkins of Pine; two brothers, James David Jenkins and Daniel Lavon Jenkins, both of Pine; two daughters, Mona Angel’e (Roy) Budde of Mt. Hermon and Laura Michelle Luke of Pine; three sisters, Lucy Gail Johnson of Tennessee, Johnnie Lynn (Byron) Larkin of DeRidder and Lorraine Chinese’ Creel of Bogalusa; 12 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and other family members and friends.

Her parents, J.D. and Stella Lavena Rester Jones, a son, Dillie Andrew Jenkins and a brother-in-law, Clinton Odell Luke, preceded her in death.

Visitation will be held Saturday, Aug. 3 at Brown-McGehee Funeral Home from 4-10 p.m. Visitation resumes on Sunday from 8 a.m. until time for the funeral service at 2 p.m., with the Rev. Billy Reyer and the Rev. Morgan Farmer officiating. Interment will follow in the Van Jenkins Cemetery.
