WEARY

Rance La’Ray Weary was called to glory on Saturday, July 21, 2013.

He was born in Bogalusa on July 10, 1976, to Johnny Ray and Arlene Weary. At the time of his passing, he attended church at Perfective Ministry in Bogalusa. A 1995 graduate of Varnado High School, Rance grew up in the Jones Creek community and resided in Bogalusa for many years until his passing.

He leaves to cherish his wonderful memories, his parents Johnny Ray and Arlene Weary, of Varnado; two sons, Myron La’Ray Weary and Rance La’Ray Weary II (RJ); the mother of his children, Shenette Garrett, and her son, Kalyn Stewart; three sisters, Rachel Weary of Abita Springs, Shantel Zenon of Mandeville and Shanita Weary of Bogalusa; one brother, Kenneth Robinson of Bogalusa; three nephews, Caston Bolton, Tariq Zenon and Cayden Weary; four aunts, Anna Rose Dooley, Sarah Cotton and Estelle Weary, all of Bogalusa, and Juanita Spikes of Varnado; three uncles, Ellis Weary and Johnnie Ree Weary, both of Bogalusa, and Jesse Kilpatrick of Carson, Calif.; a special friend, Josh Terrell of Bogalusa; and a host of close cousins, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his four infant sons; his grandparents, Margie Jefferson, Essie Mae and Anderson Dooley and Sarah Oliver; and his great-grandmother, Udine Lawson.

Visitation will be held Friday, July 26 at Cook Richmond Funeral Home in Bogalusa, from 3-6 p.m., followed by a family hour from 6-7 p.m.

A homecoming celebration will be hosted on Saturday at 2 p.m. at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Varnado, with Dr. Alphonso Nelson, pastor, officiating.

Interment will follow in B.B. Moses Cemetery.
