POWELL

Harry Richard “Dick” Powell, 74, passed away Tuesday, July 23, 2013, at his residence in Bogalusa.

Born Feb. 12, 1939, he was a veteran who served in the United States Air Force.

He is survived by his wife, Carol Powell of Bogalusa; one daughter, Valerie Ann Powell Bourgeois of Dequincy; one son, Martin Powell of Lucedale, Miss.; two stepchildren, Leslie (James) Raborn of Petal, Miss. and Niki (Gregg) Smith of Clayton, N.Y.; one half-brother, Donnie Powell of Oklahoma; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; four step-grandchildren and one step-great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by a son, Shawn Powell, and a son-in-law, Kenneth Bourgeois.

A graveside service was conducted on Thursday at 11 a.m. in Ponemah Cemetery. The Rev. Patrick Magee will officiate, followed by military graveside service by the Magic City American Legion Post 24.
