MAGEE

Barbara Hartzog Magee, 78, passed away Saturday, July 20, 2013, at North Oaks Medical Center in Hammond. A resident of Bogalusa, she was born Jan. 30, 1935, and was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Town and Country Homemakers Club and The Golden Girls.

She is survived by one daughter, Lori Magee Arguelles of Bogalusa; two sons, Terry (DeWanda) Magee of Bogalusa and Ted (Janet) Magee of Baton Rouge; one brother, Ronnie Hartzog of Lakeport, Calif.; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, T.A. Magee; her parents, Seymon Saxon Hartzog Sr. and Mattie Grimesly Hartzog; and a brother, Seymon Saxon Hartzog Jr.

Visitation will be held Monday, July 22 at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home from 5:30-8 p.m.

Visitation continues on Tuesday from 9 a.m. until time for the funeral service at 10 a.m. in the funeral home chapel, with the Rev. Jim Stayton officiating. Interment will follow at Ponemah Cemetery.
