WATSON

Wanda Jones Watson, 85, a resident of Enon, died at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, July 6 at Riverside Medical Center. Born April 23, 1928, she was a lifelong member of Enon Baptist Church as well as a teacher’s aide at Enon School for many years.

She is survived by two sons, Robert W. “Bob” (Aclydia) Watson of Franklinton and John M. “Mike” (Ruth) Watson of Enon; four grandchildren and spouses, Christy and Rodney Robertson of Plainview, Robert W. Watson II and Nikki Watson of Franklinton, George Watson and Roger Watson, both of Enon; seven great-grandchildren, Hamp Robertson, Cameron Robertson, John Robert Watson, Luke Watson, Natalie Pierce, Emily Pierce and Tyler Jenkins; two sisters-in-law, Mona L. Jones of Enon and Betty Pittman of Baton Rouge; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, George Watson Jr.; her parents, Van K. Jones and Carrie M. Knight Jones; a sister, Roxie Varnado; and two brothers, Leslie Jones and Royce Jones.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, July 9 at Crain Funeral Home from 10 a.m. until time for the funeral service at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel, with the Rev. Chris Wheeler officiating. Burial will follow in the Enon Baptist Church Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Enon Baptist Church Parsonage Fund.
