Curley Lorenzo Foster, 45, gave up his home here on earth on Monday, June 17, 2013, to claim his eternal resting place on the other side.
He was born in Bogalusa on Feb. 26, 1968, to Mr. and Mrs. Felton (Bonnie) Foster. He graduated from Varnado high School in 1988. He joined Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church at an early age, under the leadership of Dr. A.S. Nelson.
He leaves to mourn his memories two sons, Curley (Tracy) Ratliff of Hammond and Ke’Arion Foster of Bogalusa; his mother, Bonnie Foster of Varnado; two sisters, Torn (Eric) Holmes of Chicago and Latoya (Sherman) Smith of Angie; two brothers, Felton Eddie (Tenisha) Foster Jr. of Bogalusa and Joshua Foster Sr. of Varnado; a grandson, Kai’ Ratliff of Hammond; nieces and nephews, Christian Foster, Ty’Ariq Holmes, Chloe’ Foster, Eric Holmes Jr., Lauryn Smith and Joshua Foster; one godbrother, Kwasi Moses; a special friend, Jacquel Buie; a special Cousin, Derrick Cotton; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father; his paternal and maternal grandparents; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Visitation will be held Friday, June 21 at Cook-Richmond Funeral Home from 2-6 p.m., with a family hour from 6-7 p.m. The funeral service will be conducted on Saturday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel, with Dr. A.S. Nelson officiating. Interment will follow at the Foster Family Cemetery.
