MILTON

Dempsey C. Milton Sr., 82, a lifelong resident of Bogalusa, left his loving family to enter the gates of heaven on June 13, 2013.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Thad and Viola Milton; his granddaughter, Dana Michelle Milton; and his sisters, Camille and Guelda.

Dempsey is survived by his beloved wife of 61 years, Patsy; his precious children, Dempsey Jr. (Carol), Danny (Kerry), Kathy (David), Mickey and Tami (Kelly); his cherished grandchildren Lyndsi (David), Tyler, Olivia, Jade, Derek, Katie and his Little Buddy Riley; his two great-grandsons, Dylan and Cody; step-grandchildren, Holii (Dion) and Jason (Angela) and step great-grandchildren.

Dempsey was an Air Force veteran, loved to fish and his favorite pastime was spending as much time as possible with his wife, children and family. He was blessed with a musical talent and loved sharing this with all who would listen. He was a retiree of Entergy after 39 years of service.

Poppa touched many lives in special ways during his time with us. His stories will live on through his children and grandchildren. Poppa was strong in his faith and love for our Heavenly Father and now watches over all of us. We will miss him so, but know he is waiting for our arrival to our heavenly home.

The funeral service will be Thursday, June 13, 2013, at Brown McGehee Funeral Home in Bogalusa. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m., with services at 2 p.m. Interment will follow at Hillview Memorial Gardens.
