Jermaine Daniel Sims Lacour, 30, a satellite television technician accused of forcibly raping a Bogalusa resident after installing her service on May 29, turned himself in to the Washington Parish Sheriff’s Office Wednesday afternoon.

Earlier that day, the WPSO had issued a warrant for Lacour’s arrest.

According to the sheriff’s office, Lacour exposed himself to the woman when she looked up to give him a check after he had completed the installation work. He then attacked the woman, but before he could complete the act, he became frightened and fled, the sheriff’s office said.

Lacour is a former New Orleans police officer who was fired by that department in January after an Orleans Parish jury convicted him of illegal use of a weapon. He was charged with firing a handgun outside his former girlfriend’s home in 2010.
