JARRELL

After a lengthy illness, Bogalusa resident Jerry Dale Jarrell, 70, a resident of Bogalusa, died at 2:10 p.m. Friday, May 17, 2013, at Gulfport Memorial Hospital. He was born on Oct. 31, 1942.

He is survived by two daughters, Gloria Luper of Franklinton and Michelle Wilson of New Jersey, and a son, Michael Jarrell of Florida; two sisters, Doris J. Lee and Hazel Marie Nickel; nine grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by one son, Dale Jarrell; his father, D. Jarrell, and his mother, Lois Jarrell; two sisters, Earline J. Sumrall and Janice J. Sandifer; and three brothers, Lavon Jarrell, William H. Jarrell and Bennie R. Jarrell.

Visitation was held Sunday, May 19 at Brown-McGehee Funeral Home from 10 a.m. until time for the funeral service at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel, with the Rev. Harold Gaddy officiating. Burial followed in the Muster Ground Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Jeffery Jarrell, Chris Nickel, Charles Nickel, Lonnie Reeves, Dylan Jordan and Bruce Hariel. Honorary pallbearers were Gavin Hariel, Charles Tynes and Darin DeBate.

Visitation was held Sunday, May 19 at Brown-McGehee Funeral Home from 10 a.m. until time for the funeral service at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel, with the Rev. Harold Gaddy officiating. Burial followed in the Muster Ground Cemetery.
