Talmadge Laverne Dykes

Talmadge Laverne Dykes, 66, a resident of Franklinton born March 3, 1947, died Thursday, May 29, 2013 at his residence.

He was a truck driver and a member of First United Pentecostal Church of Franklinton.

He is survived by his wife, Marye Walker Dykes of Franklinton; a daughter, Debbie Cutrer of Mt. Hermon; two sons and daughters-in-law, Randy Laverne and Kristy Dykes and Randell Laverne and Cathy Dykes, all of Franklinton; grandchildren, Daniel Lea, Megan Martin, Samantha Newman, Timothy Dykes, Jacey Dykes and Mackayla Dykes; four great-grandchildren, Blayton Lea, Hayden Grace Martin, Kyler Martin and Anniston Jae Newman; three sisters, Kathryn Lee of Poplarville, Miss., Nell Perry of Greensburg, Miss. and Carolyn Pierce of Poplarville, Miss.; and a brother, Jerry Dykes of Holden.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Vida Spears Dykes, six sisters and one brother.

Visitation will begin Saturday, June 1 at 6 p.m. at First United Pentecostal Church in Franklinton and will continue until time for the funeral service at 2 p.m. Sunday, with Bro. James Hamilton, Rev. Paul Watts and Rev. Bobby Ray Spears officiating. Burial will follow in the Nobles Cemetery.
