Sidney Eugene Wheat, 57, a resident of Bogalusa born Oct. 21, 1955, went to be with the Lord Saturday, May 18, 2013. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, carpentry work and restoring old cars.

He is survived by one daughter, Angel Wheat Vincent; two stepsons, Brandon and Joey Painter; one sister, Martha Temples; and two brothers, Ronnie Wheat and James Bailey. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ann Jarrell Painter Wheat; his mother, Shirley Pigott Bailey, and three brothers, Mark, Richard, and Kenneth Wheat.

He will be sadly missed by many friends and family.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 28 at End Time Jesus Ministry Church, 1040 Avenue E in Bogalusa at 3:30 p.m., with pastor Judy Jones officiating.

The family would like to offer special thanks to Tulane Cancer Center doctors, Haven Hospice, friends and chaplains.
